The purpose of this site
is to encourage and support independent filmmakers! If
you have made a film (or want to), you can find useful links,
information and tools to help you be more effective, more profitable,

The site is the contribution of Cyndi Greening,
Pamela Bowman and Jeniece Toranzo, We’ve had the good fortune
to encounter other like-minded filmmakers who are equally excited
about helping to bring new voices—like yours—to
the screen. We will be using this space to speed your success
in completing your independent film. You can reach us at “Questions at

We love film. We believe an emotionally
satisfying, brilliantly told story is a work of art. While most
studio films “look
good,” finding an unexpected jewel is rare. We think that
is why we’re so passionate about independent film! What some
indie films may lack in production value is easily overlooked because
of the mesmerizing storytelling. We also enjoy the revelation
of new voices, the commitment to innovative stories and the discovery
in unexpected locations. Indie film is the art form of the century.
Cyndi started
attending the Sundance Film Festival in 1996. That festival changed
her life. Spending ten days watching and learning about indie
film production, distribution and funding was truly life altering.
Pamela and Jeniece followed suit a few years later. Sundance
remains the zenith of indie festivals, but we now also enjoy
numerous other festivals including SXSW, Tribeca, Telluride,
Toronto, Seattle, and Palm Springs. In addition to attending
film festivals, We’ve
made independent films – two in Zambia last year! Cyndi
has also been teaching digital filmmaking and media arts for
over 16 years. Some of her students work in the film industry
others have made award winning festival films. We blog about
